Physician Membership
Active Physician Membership
Annual dues for active members is $350. Active members current on his/her dues receive a complimentary registration to the KCSWCS Annual Fall Clinical Conference and discounts on other KSCWSC sponsored events.
- A physician is eligible for active membership provided he/she is a graduate of a medical college approved and accredited by the American Medical Association or a graduate of an osteopathic college approved and accredited by the American Osteopathic Association
- Must be licensed to practice medicine and/or surgery in the state in which he/she practices.

Active members shall have the right to vote, serve on committees, hold office, and take part in all meetings of members of the Society.
Resident/Fellow Physician Membership
Annual dues for resident/fellow members is $50. Resident/fellow members current on his/her dues receive a complimentary registration to the KCSWCS Annual Fall Clinical Conference and discounts on other KSCWSC sponsored events.
- A physician is eligible for resident/fellow membership provided he/she is currently participating in a residency or fellowship at a Kansas City area hospital or medical school and is a graduate of a medical college approved and accredited by the American Medical Association or a graduate of an osteopathic college approved and accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
- Must be licensed to practice medicine and/or surgery in the state in which he/she practices.
- Resident/fellow members cannot vote, serve on committees, or hold office. He/she can take part in all meetings of members of the Society.
Honorary Membership
Honorary members have the right to vote, serve on committees and to take part in all meetings of members of the Society but may not hold office. Honorary members shall pay no dues and receive discounts on other KSCWSC sponsored events.
- A physician is eligible for honorary membership under any one of the following circumstances:
- He/she is 65 years old and has been an active member of the Society for ten consecutive years;
- He/she served 30 years as an active member of the Society;
- He/she ceases to engage in the practice of medicine for reasons of ill health, retirement, or other justifiable causes and has been an active member of the Society for ten consecutive years;
- He/she is elected to this classification by the Board of Directors in recognition of his outstanding qualifications, professional accomplishments, or distinguished service. He/she may accept honorary membership or maintain active status.Application
